Milton Sterilising Tablets

The importance of sterilising baby feeding equipments

ABC recommends cold water sterilising method to all our ABC friends with babies using sterilising tablets. Cold water sterilising method is popular in UK as it is easy and most importantly safe to use. It is a replacement to the boiling method. Milton sterilising tablet is a product of Laboratoire Rivadis in France. Milton has been sterilising babies utensils for over 50 years and is clinically proven to protect against all germs. Milton sterilising tablets sterilises baby feeding equipments, disinfect surfaces around the home, chopping board, fruit, salad and vegetables. It is ideal and handy for parents travelling with their baby. The tablets are packed individually making it easy and assuring that the sterilising solution is made up correctly. Our batch expiry date is until year 2013.

Babies are prone to infectious diseases such as E-coli, Listeria, Salmonella, Campylobacter, Rotavirus (which can cause gastroenteritis) and Candida albicans (which can cause thrush). It is therefore extremely important to have all our baby's feeding equipments sterilised. Normal cleaning process does not remove bacteria and germs. Harmful bacteria grow quickly in milk. Parents should sterilise all feeding utensils from birth up until the baby's 1st birthday and bottles and teats for as long as baby is using them. Sterlising protects our babies immune system until they are older and stronger.

Method Instruction:
  1. Dissolve 1 tablet in 5 liters of water using a sterilising unit or bucket with lid.
  2. Clean baby's feeding equipment as usual before inserting it in the solution. ( Must ensure that it is completely submerged in the solution).
  3. Ready to use and disinfected after 15 mins.
  4. After removing from the solution, feeding equipment can be drained and used immediately - no need to rinse.
  5. The solution is reusable within 24hours but must be changed after 24 hours. Unused feeding equipment could remain in the solution before the solution is due for a change.
Fact:

The WHO (World Health Organisation) considers that the acceptable level of chlorine for drinking water is at 5 mg/l that 0.5% of the solution. In the Milton sterilising solution there is 0.012% of chlorine which is far less than the level accepted by the WHO. Milton sterilising tablets is therefore safe to us.
